Delegates attending a high-level Francophone conference in Rabat are discussing strategies to strengthen peacekeeping operations and international security cooperation.
The event was organized through a partnership involving Morocco’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, France, and the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie.
Discussions are centered on how French-speaking countries can play a bigger role in maintaining peace in conflict-affected regions.
Rwanda’s contribution to international peacekeeping missions was recognized during the meeting, with the country remaining one of Africa’s major contributors of peacekeepers under UN operations.
Participants are also emphasizing the importance of African-led solutions to security crises and stronger continental cooperation.
