President Paul Kagame arrived in Azerbaijan on an official visit, where he was received at Heydar Aliyev International Airport by Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov and Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev. The visit highlights Rwanda’s commitment to expanding diplomatic and economic relations with Azerbaijan. Earlier, on November 13, 2024, Kagame met with President Ilham Aliyev in Addis Ababa to explore areas of cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, and capacity-building. Since establishing diplomatic relations in 2017, Rwanda and Azerbaijan have steadily expanded ties, with both countries seeking stronger collaboration in business, education, and international partnerships.
