The launch coincided with the <strong>Giants of Africa Festival<\/strong>, a week-long celebration of African sports talent and youth empowerment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Located near major landmarks like <strong>BK Arena<\/strong> and <strong>Amahoro National Stadium<\/strong>, Zaria is a state-of-the-art development designed to promote <strong>sports excellence<\/strong>, <strong>community engagement<\/strong>, and <strong>tourism in Rwanda<\/strong>. The complex includes modern sports courts, green public spaces, and luxury accommodation \u2014 creating a dynamic environment for athletes, visitors, and local residents alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the opening ceremony, President Kagame spoke passionately about the <strong>transformative impact of sports<\/strong> across the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI wasn\u2019t a sportsman in the traditional sense, but I am a sportsman at heart,\u201d he said. \u201cSports help build communities, families, and individuals. It goes far beyond the game.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The Zaria complex is part of Rwanda\u2019s broader vision to create a <strong>dedicated sports city<\/strong>, which aims to position Kigali as a leading destination for international sports events and training. And we are not stopping here. We keep growing. We keep going.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlighting the <strong>economic potential of Africa\u2019s sports industry<\/strong>, President Kagame cited figures showing that sports-related activities across the continent generate <strong>tens of billions of dollars annually<\/strong>.
