Rwanda and Mauritius are deepening economic cooperation through a new SheTrades business mission that will connect women entrepreneurs from both countries in Kigali later this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dubbed the SheTrades Hub-to-Hub Collaboration Mission<\/em>, the event will run from May 18 to 20, 2026, bringing together women-led companies from sectors including ICT, tourism, healthcare, manufacturing, beauty, and agro-processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The business mission is jointly organized by Economic Development Board Mauritius and the SheTrades Rwanda Hub under the Private Sector Federation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Organizers say the initiative aims to strengthen women\u2019s participation in international trade, support partnerships between African businesses, and promote inclusive economic growth under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nirmala Jeetah said the program demonstrates Mauritius\u2019 commitment to helping women entrepreneurs grow beyond domestic markets and connect with new business opportunities in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Sekamana emphasized that the collaboration offers women entrepreneurs from both countries a chance to share expertise, attract investment, and access larger regional markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The SheTrades program, created by the International Trade Centre in partnership with global trade institutions, has been supporting women entrepreneurs worldwide since 2015.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Rwanda and Mauritius are deepening economic cooperation through a new SheTrades business mission that will connect women entrepreneurs from both countries in Kigali later this month.
